Partial solar eclipse
Not a particularly exciting image, I know - but there's a story to it.
Sitting in my office this morning it occurred to me that it was a bit dark, yet it was sunny outside. Then I remembered that there was a partial solar eclipse happening (more complete eclipse further north and over northern Australia). Sure enough the camera registered a light level that certainly did not comply with the "sunny f16" rule.
This shot was taken at f16, but despite full sun on an average range of tones, the shutter speed was only 1/40. Interesting bit of trivia for the day?!
