Family on a glacier

The photo, taken by our guide Chris, whilst on our trip on one of the many run-off glaciers of Vatnajökull (Iceland largest ice sheet). We had an absolute stunning day for our walk with sunshine and we could see for miles! Walking on the glacier was quite adventurous and besides the crevasses and little rivers running off the glaciers, we admired the beginnings of a cave in the ice.
Landscape of Iceland is yet again awe inspiring, but we have seen how quickly the glaciers are receding, leaving unstable mountain cliffs and flooding in its wake...
