Gull Lineup

It was a thoroughly miserable day with endless light rain, but this didn't deter me from my lunchtime walk. I strode out from the office, thinking I might find an interesting subject somewhere in Derby's Cathedral Quarter.

On my way there though I came across this parade of black-headed gulls in their winter plumage, lined up on a metal railing beside the River Derwent. With this image in the bag I decided I didn't need to venture any further for a blip, and headed back to the office.
