The dropped stitch

Umbrella plant

My first grass cutting job today was at a fairly isolated house. J, who is no longer able to drive through ill-health, mentioned that he was facing 3 days without any biscuits. His daughter who brings shopping is away on holiday until Monday. I'm sure he wasn't hinting, but our conversation stayed in my mind and at the end of the day I decided to nip back with a biscuit delivery.

He was surprised and delighted. I was pleased. I know just how it feels, when it comes to 10pm and all you want is a biscuit to go with your cup of tea. The shops are shut, you've searched the cupboards, twice, and there is NOTHING!

The rain arrived tonight. Spent the evening with friends. Our invitation promised 'wine, food and dancing.' We were not disappointed! The photo is of the umbrella plant I sat next to.
