Sweet Sunday

20:19 and nearly forgot to blip. Sitting at C*** restaurant with friends before they head off on holiday to Turkey. Arranged this morning.

Later (Monday): Well that was the fastest blip I’ve taken so far! We had a window seat, I turned round and quickly snapped this, as didn’t want to be rude to our friends.

The usual perfectly acceptable and predictable dinner at (for me) the “best of the chains”. Two were good, but our friend’s steak was very chewy. They very happily replaced it, and not only that, also took the cost off the bill. So excellent service. They seem to have a proper career path, which the English waiter (a student in Computing’ at the local uni) explained to us. And it shows, both in staff efficiency, also in motivation.

Walk back through the lower gardens at about 10 o’clock. Still pretty busy. They turned the ferris wheel lights off just as we walk past. And we headed up the cliff home. A lovely evening In every way, friends, food* (a large choice of vegetarian, just never changes much. Oh well can’t have everything).
