Bottle Bridge and River Tweed

The official name for this bridge is the Lowood Bridge or simply the Melrose Bridge (although it isn't in fact in Melrose - but it's the closest road bridge to Melrose which only has a foot bridge). I don't know why it's known as the Bottle Bridge - someone said that there was once a lemonade factory over the bridge, but I'm not sure I buy that. It’s recently reopened after extensive repairs

Anyway, this picture was taken near the end of today's walk which wasn't too arduous, with weather considerably better than forecast, and ice cream from Simply Delicious afterwards, so all in all, a grand day out.
