A day
It's been a trying day....
The major disaster of the day was coming home this morning to realise that the door key wasn't in it's usual place in the car where I always put it. In fact, the door key wasn't anywhere to be seen, at all. Disaster. Thankfully, we traipsed up to our friends, who looked after the boys and fed them lunch whilst I carried on looking. Amazingly, I bumped into the estate manager, who lives in the village and he popped to the office and came back with a master key - was back in within 15 minutes. It could have been very different. The boys thought it was all quite exciting and didn't really have a care about the whole thing.
This afternoon, we went back to our friends and youngest played in the paddling pool at our friends and the eldest got stuck into some lego.
Given that bad luck comes in three's, I then dropped a half-dozen eggs, and then knocked over a pint of orange squash.
On the plus side, I went to the market this morning and picked my bargain of the day, 20 punnets of strawberries for £4 - we're going to be sick of strawberries and strawberry jam pretty soon.
