Village primary school

The French policy is to keep primary schools open even in small rural villages and hamlets since they are seen to be important centres for their communities. This school in Beaumont has one teacher and eleven pupils. This photo was taken as thunder clapped all around and subsequently wind and rain (the first for a couple of months) arrived and reduced the temperature by a very welcome few degrees.
