England here we come!

Today we left for England. We left home at a very civilized 10 am to get down to Cincinnati airport for a 1 pm flight to Detroit on Delta airlines. Check in was a breeze, as the airport was fairly quiet, and they gave us TSA pre-check status, so we didn’t have to take our shoes off, or take my iPad etc. out. Our flight was delayed by about 50 minutes, but since we had allowed a fairly generous layover time in Detroit, we weren’t concerned. It was a short flight, and we still had time to get something to eat in Detroit, as we had an easy transfer, with our flight for London Heathrow leaving from the same terminal. We usually fly into Manchester, but this year we chose to fly into London, so we will be able to pick Laura up on Monday - she is spending the weekend with friends in London. Our flight to London left at a relatively early hour of 6.20 pm.
