Room with a view

Too many hours in Pinderfields hospital in Wakefield today. Mr EAnn was in early to have his prostate removed. He has lived with prostate cancer for 10 years now but with the tumour becoming more aggressive it's time to say goodbye. Very happy to have it in the pickle jar as one former consultant put it.
I was left hanging about until 4.45 before he was out of recovery and on the ward. No reason other than Pinderfields unfriendly systems.
I left him looking surprisingly well with this view (bad phone pic). When all the strong pain relief works it's way out of his system he might be less cheerful.
I should get him back tomorrow.
