Lost or Resting

I've been thinking for a few days that this pudge on was a bit odd compared with the others round about. It's usually alone and sits in strange places such as the top of the car or porch then wanders around the borders shrabling in the soil with its beak. Odd behaviour in that none of our other pigeons do this. Today I realised it was a homing pigeon with a ring on. You can make out the number on the ring' although according to the web page it should have some letters on too, which I couldn't make out. Food and water have been put out but it didn't seem particularly interested. Hopefully it will find its way home.
