Panicking Partridge

I found this partridge by the side of the road, and started snapping without asking permission. As soon as she saw the camera, she was off. I didn't even ask her to remove any feathers. Still it's probably good enough for one of the glossies, although a compromising position getting out of a car would probably attract a better fee.

It's a red-legged partridge. Apparently not too common up here - they were introduced from France and Spain. I never had much luck with foreign birds.
