Front and Back Development

This area of Gloucester docks used to be covered in derelict warehouses, mills etc. but over the past 20 years or so a huge amount of development has taken place.
Gloucester Quays is advertised on National TV, shopping outlets for many famous names and there's a new huge NEXT shop going up behind where I was standing to take these shots from Queen Anne Way bridge.Top photograph shows a new Premier Inn, a Beefeater restaurant behind it and The Quays car park to the right. In between the car park and hotel you can see some old buildings still to be developed.

In the bottom photograph is the Beefeater and new flats/apartments developed from old buildings, the front one was destroyed by an arsonist but the walls still stood and it was developed from that.

It's all good news for Gloucester and people who visit.
