Intruder
This small Viola has self-seeded into a pot where I have a miniature rose. The rose was a present many years ago in a small ornamental arrangement and was probably intended to be disposed of when the flowers died, but I put it out in a pot and it has survived well. The viola flower is tiny and is surviving the drought although I have watered the pot from time to time. The brown backdrop is my lawn - hopefully it will green up soon if the heatwave is ending this evening as forecast.
Update on the sheep (see yesterday's Blip): there are definitely ten, and we tried to Google different breeds to find out what they were but without success. There are six small tan ones, some of which have a set of four horns, two dark brown ones with magnificent curly horns, and two vary large 'ordinary' looking sheep. W had nicknamed these two 'The Two Fat Ladies' but today we have renamed them 'The Hairy Bikers' when we realised that wasn't an udder we were looking at.
