As winter starts to take power, it is cheering to think that the next Spring is already here, locked inside trees, plants and the earth itself.

Our local park is now almost denuded of leaves which throws the wonderful structure and texture of boughs and trunks into the limelight. That's why this image works best in b&w, revealing the naked bones of these sentinels.
