Mono Monday: Week 237 .......

... Blast.

Even though it was already 85° F. by 9:00 am this morning I still wanted to get out to the old Bethlehem Steel site for today's MM blip. 

Most of the buildings are quite derelict by now as local operations of Bethlehem Steel were closed down by 2003.  Hard believe it's been 15 years already.  

However, some of the buildings still standing include the Blast furnaces ..... seen here. This property has seen a resurgence of sorts with the help of ArtsQuest.  They have developed the property and it's now used for many things .... including lots of music concerts and there's a movie theater! 

Currently the music festival Musikfest is taking place here and at other locations around Bethlehem.  Thousands of people with gather here to have a blast enjoying the free (and some paid) concerts!
