The Many Adventures of Minny Blipper

Minny saw that the doors of the motor home were open, and he and Marie staggered up the steps and into the kitchen.

Minny looked around and was blown away by what he saw.

This is really neat, he thought, but how do we fit me, Marie, Monsieur le Chef, the kid called Michel, and Marianne - I suppose the Mutt can sleep outside.

Pushing bedroom thoughts aside for the minute, he and Marie enjoyed a very well-earned cup of tea.

Marie wasn't saying anything.  Why won't she talk? thought Minny.

Hey Marie, you feeling ok? 

Sure I am, she snapped a trifle waspishly.  I've been rescued from a burning building, almost run over by a street sweeper, saw my dad about to be bitten by a plastic snake that turned out to be a toy, and now half drowned.  None of this ever happened before I met you.  Her voice rose to a crescendo.  Are you jinxed or something?? 

Minny went bright red, and almost burst into tears.   How is it my fault?  I had a quiet life before I met you, you know.

Oh Minny, I'm sorry, of course it isn't your fault, I'm just feeling a bit overwrought that's all.  It will be better when we've had a good night's sleep.  The kid will camp in a tent with the Mutt for protection, Marianne and I will share the big bed, and you and Dad can each sleep on the sofa.

It will all be ok in the morning.

I sure hope so muttered Minny, I can't take much more of this.  A nice "thank you for saving my life" wouldn't go astray.

Grumpily he turned around and saw.......
