Macabre!

Thankfully just this doll not my day!
I went up to Nellie of the Woods - we planned to do a walk in the woods! However we spent all morning  chatting over a cup of tea, her partner Barry joined us and we discussed being solitary but not lonely, the tedium and superficiality of social gatherings and then of course Brexit and Corbyn and Trump! We also talked gardening and the stereotypes of the style of peoples gardening. he reckoned as a teacher I'd be a straight line, ordered gardener! Pah! So I suggested going up my allotment to see it! We jumped in Barry's van and off we went! He liked my allotment even though his style is straight lines - but then he was an engineer! As nellie had given me some honey from their bees, we stopped at mine on the way back so I could give her a jar of my bramble Jelly!
Back at Nellies we had lunch and then went for our walk! We were just discussing the fact I was getting a puppy, and she was saying how on our walks I was always stopping to greet dogs and bury my face in their coats - I always hope to find they have the same smell as my dog Max did - some do, some don't! Well blow me we then met a dog who made a bee line for me - and he smelt like Max!
We ended up at the building they are converting into their new house. It used to be the centre for their skate boarding club - it still has the wooden  curved wall in the now overgrown "garden." They have been doing it up for 6 years and if all goes well should be finished by Christmas. I would so love to buy their current house - but I think it will be too expensive for me - it has a lot of land. Nellie thinks the land would be too much for me and Barry that the house too large! I think he wants to see another family there. I love both the house, masses of land and the fact it is hidden away in the woods!
So I left Nellie hacking back the overgrowth in the garden and Barry sawing away in the house! What a fine day it turned out to be - I'd been out since 10 and it was now 4 in the afternoon!
The other good thing about today was that the walking did my hip good. I had done a major watering of the allotment Sunday and had also tripped, and my hip was really painful - I'd even taken a walking stick with me on our walk and I only sat down when we had lunch as sitting was painful. can't believe after a couple of months it is still playing up - I really did something to it when I tried the yoga for osteoporosis, haven't done those yoga positions since, and I have to be careful how I sit when I meditate. There is always something it seems!
Oh and the doll hidden amongst the mint with the moss forming a dress over her was in Nellies garden! They have so many bits and pieces in their garden, his metal dungarees, jacket and trousers, more dolls and wind chimes from my school resources that I'd taken to a fundraiser they had held but had not been bought! The piano has been moved though! You can see why I love their place and them!
