Day's work done...

Redundant.  Every available machine seems to be whizzing around the lanes this week as the crops are ready for lifting.  It's quite a comforting sound just listening to the hum of tractors going back and forth late into the evening.   I think these two have been replaced by a couple of massive John Deeres that have all sorts of power drive attachments and home comforts like sat-nav, air con, armchair seats and teas-maids.  It must take some capital to put these brutes on the roster.  I read only yesterday of a farmer who was down to his last Range Rover.
