New Home Cards

These are jusr a few of the lovely cards we have received to welcome us to our new home and they are all very much appreciated. So nice to get post that isn’t bills or something official.

Beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel as the pile of empty boxes mounts and things are allocated to a room and a space, which may be temporary:-).

A day of highs and lows - the high was the delivery and installation of a new washing machine to match the tumble dryer which had been delivered last Friday. The low was discovering that the tumble dryer doesn’t work! A problem with a sensor according to the man on the end of the help line and they will replace it free of charge. I should jolly well think so considering I haven’t even had the chance to use it! Just as well it was a bright, breezy day and the washing was almost dry anyway.

There have been a few other glitches along the way, but I expect they happen to everyone so there’s no point in getting stressed:-)

UPDATE. My brilliant daughter solved the tumble dryer problem! Something to do i with a test programme run by the enginerr not being completed, so she talked me through what to do and it WORKS!!!!
