The Cutlery Band!
The day of the local agricultural show. We didn't have time this year to take in the animal section, but did enjoy the Industrial and Horticultural Exhibits. This really took my fancy! I love the detail of the fingers. It only got a third in the Recycled class, which I thought was a real shame. Such a great idea!
I was lucky enough to win three firsts, a second and an unplaced - for my crocheted lobster!
Very busy in the shop this afternoon, several Italian couples, Spanish, American and Australian. Also English visitors loving the cooler weather and remarking on the green of the grass! Lots of Orcadians come home around the show time. A real time of gathering together from all over the globe. A woman from the south of Scotland told me she had gone to the local kirkyard to put flowers on her parents' grave and met cousins from Canada chatting to more of her Orcadian relations! It's a small world!
