Westerwood

Tuesday's walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers was a relatively short circular walk around the Westerwood area of Cumbernauld and the golf course that bears that name,

We started and ended at Cumbernauld Village, taking the underpass underneath the M80 motorway and following the paths up to and then around Westerwood. Our undulating walk afforded good views north towards the Kilsyth Hills and Campsie Fells, but it was rather overcast and occasionally drizzly. However, it was neither too wet nor too hot and actually rather pleasant conditions for the 25 walkers out on the day.
