Peachy

On the road to and from Rieti on my daily commute, I pass Cottanello which I have posted many times before. This evening as I came round the bend on the mountain road, the light was a beautiful glowing peach. Despite being tired, I pulled into the passing place below the Hermitage of San Cataldo. It is on the right of the picture, built into the cliffs and decorated with frescoes dating back to the 12th Century. I used the stairs to gain a vantage point, so that you can see how the road snakes down the mountain. A beautiful vista I get to see everyday.
