Samaras on Grey

These winged seeds or samaras had accumulated randomly at a neighbor's--I did only a bit of clean-up in Photoshop. Otherwise the main events of the day were having blood drawn for my doctor, and getting a Massachusetts inspection sticker--an annual necessity which I had let slide for various reasons (the previous one was from July).  Again very hot and sticky, with a brief shower in the late afternoon. I wish some of our rain could fall elsewhere in the world--e.g. New South Wales in Australia--its drought has made our news.
