Stag do

The WI Camera Club visited Wisley Garden this afternoon, and instead of heading for the decorative gardens our organiser took us to the fruit growing area. I thought it would be very boring (unless you are into growing fruit!) but there was an exhibit of wire and willow sculptures. We first found a life sized bull and then a group of chickens. There were boxing hares and a beautiful life size mare, but my favourite was a group of deer, hinds with their foals and this proud stag.
We photographed them from every angle, and photographed each other photographing them from every angle. Then as the sun began to set from a cloudless sky we repaired to the cafe by the glasshouse to revive ourselves with a cup of tea and a good chat. Some of the chat was about taking photographs, but mostly not. A happy afternoon in the sun.
