Tonight I returned to Celtic Park, with two colleagues for whom it was their first visit. They both appreciated the atmosphere, although we were all disappointed by the 1-1 result. One side of the ground has only a relatively small stand, so there is a fine view out to the south. This would be lost if the club ever "completed" the stadium. Although this would give it an 80,000 capacity, and bottle in even more of the noise, making for an even more impressive atmosphere, I don't think they would fill it often enough to justify the expense.
