Visit to the Farm

8th August 2018;

As part of our Summer School activities we have decided to expand past the Academic, so today one group of girls went to the farm in Lusangazi to look at our Climate Smart Horticulture, Fruit tree production and growing a range of local edible crops.

Here they were with Wezzie, our longest serving employee, in an area where we keep budded and grafted plants when they move out of the greenhouses. It's nice to see them keeping notes, maybe with a view to some enterprise when they finish school. We are really interested and excited about this prospect and also forestry and the general growing of trees including fruit trees.

Also nice to see them eating our oranges.

They have promised to write a report and type it up  (a new adventure for them all)
