Manche to the Med day 5

Day 5. Today started with rain but it dried up by the late morning. A bit longer today at 58 miles as Mr PB deviated from his original route as it was a bit too busy, so we  added 5 miles going on lovely quiet roads. I am so glad he is a whiz at map reading and navigating. I would still be getting off the ferry!

We passed the dilapidated old chateau at Chemery before the main attraction, the beautiful chateau at Valençay. We took a break from cycling anf had a wonder round. From there we zig zagged on minor roads passing another chateau at Bouge with an amazing avenue of trees leading up to the main gate. A quick coffee to perk us up and onward.. the route was so pretty passi g fields of vines and sunflowers . Camped at Châteauroux where we have fed the duck moorhen with our spate pasta
