Pianist
Morning of holiday club, with Rugby Tots! Hurray! Local schools go back next week so Rugby Tots proper starts again at the weekend! More hurray!
As I was picking up CyclopsJnr by the Botanics at 1.15pm it seemed foolish not to go to their pre school Fringe show at 2pm. It was called 'Shh the elves are very shy' and it was by a companyvtgst we'd seen two shows from before. It was a lovely show, very enjoyable. It was about trying to coax some elves out of a box. I wondered if we were headed for disappointment but no, the box had a 'window' for elf viewing and (presumably aided by an iPad taped in there) we were able to see and 'interact' with some elves. The kids loved it.
As we were there we went to the cafe for an empire biscuit and a play in the play area. CyclopsJnr befriended a baby aged about one, he was very sweet helping him to play.
Then we checked out the Pianodrome which is a temporary installation of a tent kitted out with a 100 seater amphitheatre made from old pianos, and a bunch of working pianos. They have shows on in there, and at other times you can play the pianos. So we did. The skill level was about as varied as is possible, all playing at once! CyclopsJnr was funny, singing along to himself (twinkle twinkle, Paw Patrol) as he 'played'.
