2nd attempt to climb the Fanellhorn, 3'124m

From the sound of it you might guess that we failed again! Ah well. I believe, we failed better this time ;) 

We made our way up to the saddle just below the peak ascent (the black peak in the background), when the wind turned up (never thought I would really put gloves on this summer!), dark clouds were pushed in and the weather forecasts were speaking of a thunderstorm, even when they were unsure about the time. Another lady also said she wouldn't go up there, so we turned around. Exact same as in our first attempt! As you see, half an hour later it already seemed so much better! 

We ventured further onto another hiking trail with again the weather coming in to get better again after we changed the route. Sigh. 
We had to make our way though cows with calves, and I had one stalk me for a bit with a lot of mooing, ready to show me that it's not to be joked with.  

Oh yes, and also a bit more than an hour into the hike the lady from the hotel called to ask if we were maybe the ones that drove into some guys car and then just headed off? I said, 100% sure that not, we would have noticed if we did! And she said: Alrighty then, nevermind, just checking, he just called the police, so I have to call everybody who stayed at the hotel to ask. 

Surely a day to remember ;)
