Brook-- 2002-2012

It has been a sad day today as we had to have our elder labrador ,Brook, put to sleep. She had been gradually going downhill over the last few weeks and sadly there was little point in prolonging her life. She will be missed.
The rest of the day ,weather wise, was extremely miserable -- dreich November-- but just as I was wondering what to blip I noticed the fallen leaves from the cherrytree and set about a picture. Only then did the greenery and russet of the ferns, the yellow leaves and the purple of the hydrangeas strike me as a beautiful splash of colour to offset the dullness of the day.
