“The fibre of the Gods”

In search of a blip I visited our local Wildlife Park and spotted this alpaca.
 
A native of South America these animals are noted for their fine fleece- a poncho could easily set you back £130.
The Incas referred to them as “the fibre of the Gods”.
 
 Mummified alpacas have been found in the Andes with fleece characteristics that are still superior to anything found today.
