Surgery
Up early today to have a surgical procedure done to my right (driving) foot. This has been in the plans for a few months, but it takes awhile to get setup and scheduled for a surgery. Originally, my podiatrist just wanted to smooth off some bone spurs from the inside of my right foot, little toe. However, while we looked at the x-ray, and I asked some questions about how my fourth and fifth toes, we decided that the surgery should include the fourth toe and actually cut part of the joint away so in the end, there was going to be peace between these two toes and I could go on walking an average of 4 - 5 miles a day without the pain that is caused by these two toes rubbing against each other and battling for space in my shoes.
Yes, what we discovered that in the last month and a half, little piggy went to market and found more spurs!
I’m writing this from my bed at home while experiencing fair amount of pain, with ice packs applied and pain relievers taken.
If everything heals well, I should be back to normal in a few weeks - here’s hoping!
