Carpet Washing

Following a discussion which arose out of my recent shot of a carpet beater, I said that I would look out for our municipal (if that's the right word to use for a small village) carpet washing area. That was yesterday and lo and behold, having gone there this morning, what do I find but a woman hard at work washing and drying her carpets. These facilities are provided in most towns and villages, usually sited beside a lake. The charge for this? Nil, nothing, zilch.
