Ruddy darter

A real downpour this morning so not many dragonflies out today.  This ruddy darter was drying off and warming up.

On the way to work there was a set of temporary traffic lights along the lane as since they resurfaced the road some drains needed repairing.  After weeks of dry weather they chose to do it during a torrential downpour!  As I went past there was huge amounts of surface water and they were trying to put the tarmac down!
