Seven Swans A-Swimming

Today's the day ………………………. for a family outing

Lovely to see this swan family out swimming on the River Kent today.  This surely must count as a highly successful breeding rate this summer.

And further downstream there was more activity going on, as you can see in the extra.  The men in wetsuits were doing some underwater grouting.  Now I know I did suggest in a previous blip that now would be a good time to do it while the water level is low in the Kent - but quite frankly, I wouldn't wish this job on anybody.

Let's hope they're being paid loads of money ………………………….
