Quintessentially Aussie

I can’t think why my sinuses are playing up. See the Extra photo - it'll give you an idea!

This shot was so Australian (Cockatoo in gum tree), that I couldn't resist replacing my wattle shot with it. Abe, Nikau and I were chilling out, listening to music and I was doing some work on my computer, when suddenly an almighty racket started outside. I looked out to see about 20 Cockies in the tree behind our house.

We went out with the camera. Nikau tried a spot of (unsuccessful) stalking, Abe hid behind me and I spent a happy few minutes snapping away until it started raining and we retreated to the warm living room.  They've all moved on now and it's quiet once again. I love seeing them from time to time though.
