The fab four (plus a few)

I am in the town hall in Dingwall a couple of times a week for my zumba classes. The Beatles played there in 1963. I love the fact that there are more people at most of our classes than there were there for that gig. Just 19 people watched the Beatles while a few miles along the road, at the Spa Pavillion at Strathpeffer, a massive crowd of 1,200 had crammed in to hear local heroes, The Melotones. In the weeks following the Dingwall gig, The Beatles went onto have their first top 10 hit with Please Please Me.
