Rotokakahi

more commonly known as the Green Lake.  I drive this road past this Lake often but today is the first time I have ever stopped and viewed the Lake from this position. While there is only a small space from where you can see the Lake and it's not easy to  stop it is privately owned and is also tapu (very sacred) There is no public access and no fishing, boating or swimming is allowed.  I caught a glimpse of a reflection as I drove past early this morning and luckily there was no traffic so I stopped. A sign invites you to enjoy the scenery but to go no further, and enjoy I did. It was serenely peaceful and beautiful and a true privilege to see on such a beautiful still morning.
