Departures

I didn’t realise how quickly I would feel the gravity of my departure from the UK, and I haven’t even left yet. (I’m at Heathrow waiting for my next flight.)

This jolly old fellow wasn’t intended as the object of today’s photograph, yet he is there, smiling and waving beneath the sign (that was my intended photograph).

He also feels kind of quintessentially British, doesn’t he?! Even if their existence was widespread. I was considering putting ‘hear ye, hear ye’ as the title, or the start of this post, but I’m just not feeling that kind of mood.

I hope my next photo will be in Singapore airport, or Sydney, but it depends where I am in time and space.
