Misericord

We journeyed home via Ripon and Southwell; two more cathedrals ticked off. Both were charming and interesting. We also particularly liked Ripon as a city. This misericord of a griffin chasing a rabbit , and the back end of another disappearing down a hole , is said to be the inspiration for the Lewis Carroll story about Alice in Wonderland.
