Lingy Holm

Last bits of house painting finished this morning, scaffold all dismantled and cleaned, ready to be collected Monday. Hopefully it will be (at least) another seven years before it needs doing again, but for now it looks very spick and span (genuinely no idea what that phrase actually means...)
Lawns mowed, veg & salad collected for dinner.
Mile swam.

Feeling like I deserved a reward went for a paddle on a unexpectedly choppy and very busy Ullswater. Managed a 6km figure of eight using the wonderful Norfolk Island as a leeward shelter. Had intended to try a longer wild swim but the lake was just too busy, a surprising number of annoyingly small inflatable motor boats completely put me off the idea (note to self; buy a swim bouy).
