The circus comes to town

The bug guys showed up around 9:00 to tent the neighbor’s house, to eradicate termites - a big problem in these parts. I’ve seen the tented house, but never watched the process. Had a front row seat for the high jinks today. Clockwise: first they carry the enormous tarps up to the ridge of the roof - on their backs! Shit! Took two guys to lift the bundle onto the shoulders of the third guy. Once they’re all up top they drape the tarps around the house and connect them using rows of giant clips. At that point, they’re supposed to weight the bottom, and pump in gas to fill the house and kill the bugs. However, today, a thunderstorm blew in before they had the whole tent secured and turned the tarps into gigantic sails. They finally wrestled all the tarps back to the ground, after two guys climbed onto the roof in 30mph winds, during a T-storm. They packed the whole shebang up and I imagine they’ll be back on Monday for part deux.
