Up Up and Away

A glorious start to the day although an early one with a 5.30am alarm call to catch the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. We drove over to the downs for a perfect spot watching the mass ascent go up and over the Clifton suspension bridge. No, not 99 but 108 balloons in the sky was an amazing sight! And we were very lucky that they then started landing en masse right in front of us. They come down much faster than you expect! We rewarded ourselves with an al fresco breakfast in the sun, then back for a snooze before the rain came in. We wandered over to the fiesta for scampi and chips in a basket (in the rain), an ice cream (in the rain) then a lovely wander back home via a banksy and a breakfast tea stop.
