I was not in the ideal target audience for that personal development session. At one point I was frowning so hard the presenter stopped to ask what was bothering me. "Science," would have been a simpler explanation, but I tried to be more specific.
When I emerged, I checked my immediate colleagues' calendars in case any of them were booked up to a similar session, in case there was still time to save them. Fortunately, none were in danger.
