Hard To Believe A Year Has Passed

Josh’s mum arranged a gathering today of friends and family to remember Josh as one year has swiftly passed by since he died.

She has just walked the Camino and in total did 1300km as she continued on after the Camino for another 500km through Portugal, an amazing feat! She seems calmer and says although the sadness is still very strong for her it was an amazing experience which will forever mark the transition in her life. http://www.caminodesantiago.com.au/services-view/walking-the-camino/

Everyone was asked to tell stories of Josh and it was really fascinating to hear it all, some made us all laugh and some made us cry, it was quite a day.

My J had saved up some special stories and even rehearsed them over the last few weeks and he told them really well. He was a bit shocked to see that J’s mum had not changed Josh’s bedroom at all and asked her if that was because she thought he would be coming back soon ;(

Josh had multiple seizure disorder which meant he had seizures every day. This is their dog Fergus who would always stay by Josh while it was happening, he’s a lovely gentle giant Labradoodle.
