Ho ho ho! The first home game of the season and who are we entertaining but the famous Glasgow schmeltick. But, amazingly enough, they entertained us instead, Kyle Lafferty (always a favourite of theirs) slotting in a fine volley to give us a one-nil lead. High indeed was their fans’ dudgeon.
Thirsty work though, so some slaking was called for afterwards. But then onward via the Hub to the Traverse to see Ulster American. A full on show, touching on many touchy subjects, brilliantly played, and jings, a standing ovation - possibly the first I’ve seen there. So entertained were we, we even stayed in awhile and talked to a fellow theatre goer. There’s sociable for you.
