Boats at Beadnell Harbour

Heavy rain this morning, so we decided against the half-planned day out and picnic, in favour of doing some things that we've been meaning to do for a while. MrM constructed a rather stylish wooden stand on which to display guitars - ideal for the tenor guitar he's almost finished making. I opted to turn up two pairs of trousers I bought at Warwick Folk Festival. It meant re-acquainting myself with the new-to-me sewing machine that I acquired on Freecycle a while back. One pair done, hoping to finish the others tomorrow.

After the rain stopped, late afternoon, MrM suggested a trip to Beadnell for a walk on the beach. Seemed a great idea, but as we travelled to the coast it became obvious that there was a haar, and though it was relatively clear by the harbour, from the beach there was hardly any view at all! Pleasantly warm, and we enjoyed a stroll on the pier and walked along the sand into the mist for a while, before returning to the car for coffee and chocolate.

Home for a very late evening meal...
