Elephant Hawk Moth

Sharon found an Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar a while back, so we brought it inside and fed it.  Here's a video of it eating (in real time - not sped up!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMk7FjrjNsI

It soon went into a cocoon and we expected it to stay that way through the winter.  Today, we found that it had emerged and was hiding behind the curtains.  We picked it up and tried to feed it, but it seems quite lethargic!

This is a handheld focus stack - I didn't go far enough to get the back wing in focus, and it was moving all the time anyway; we think it was warming up for flight but it's not moved yet.
