Gallo-Roman theatre at Sanxay

Last night we went to see Tosca, opera en trois actes de Giacomo Puccini at the open air amphitheatre in Sanxay.
This is a stunning setting for what was a beautiful performance of Puccini's great opera and the acoustics are truly exceptional.
It was a late evening show that started at 21:30 and finished after midnight. Bats were flying above our heads and at owls were hooting their delight. The children were tired at the end of it all but they really enjoyed the opera too.
